About Us

ICADS – who we are

The Integrated Camden Drug Service is delivered by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I), change, grow, live (CGL) and SHP. We offer a menu of community based, tailored and innovative drug treatment services for Camden residents over 18 years of age who are experiencing difficulties with drug use.

Whether you are seeking to reduce your drug use, stop using drugs altogether or maintain abstinence we can help.

Camden Specialist Service

Camden Specialist Drug Service provides community services
for people who are experiencing a range of complex issues
with drugs. We are the largest provider of mental health and
substance misuse services in Camden and have been working in
the borough since 1967.

We offer our services from two sites in Camden, which cover
the North (Daleham Gardens) and the South (The Margarete
Centre). We also offer in-reach prescribing in some hostels.
Within our service we have a range of staff who are available to
support your recovery, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists,
psychologists, recovery practitioners, care managers,
administrators and peer mentors.

We are dedicated to delivering a person-centred approach to your recovery which includes setting out a detailed care plan which outlines your strengths, goals and needs.

Camden Community Drug Service

Camden Community Drug Service is a free, confidential and welcoming drug service for Camden residents over the age of 18. We have services in Camden Town and Kilburn and also work from hostels, GP surgeries and community satellites across the borough.

We provide an open access service for Camden residents who are experiencing difficulties with any type of drug. Our services include: substitute prescribing, key work and pods, family support, mutual aid and self-help groups, health & well-being services and a range of recovery focused groups and activities.

The service also offers specialist support for individuals who are in contact with the criminal justice system as a result of their drug use.

Our Recovery Cafe at 184 Royal College Street is open to service users and provides a safe and friendly space to connect with other people who are making life changes.

Some Space Camden

Some Space works with families, friends and partners of those involved in substance misuse, regardless of whether they are in treatment. We recognise that those within the “ripple effect” of addiction are often in need of support themselves.

We offer the 1-2-1 support/education sessions, counselling and various peer support activities. the service is free and open to all Camden residents over 18 years old.
